Collective Haul!

Here are some recent purchases I have made over the span of 2 weeks( There was one thing I received as a gift and another that I purchased for someone else). I wouldn’t say that it’s extremely large collection of items.. but I still wanted to share. Here is a brief over view of some of the items..

First off is the wallet I am loving, I walked into Guess today briefly gazing over the beautiful stuff they had. An associate asked me if I was looking for anything in particular I said I was looking for a wallet. She kindly showed me two wallets one of which was elegant and sophistaicated, and then this one which was more funky. I debated and debated (had
the help of my best friend and 2 associates haha) . Finally I  decided on the new spring collection wallet.

The wallet was packaged in this white box with gold lettering…..

And this is it!!! It has this floralish print and silver and light brown hardware (the lettering and the lock) also it has this brown leather material around the edging of the wallet. I am very very pleased with the wallet. It has 2 change pockets (which I needed badly), many card holders, and 2 pockets to put cash into. I know this will last me forever and I love the boldness of it.  It is very appropriate for the spring, summer season coming up.I transferred everything out of my old and dingy          wallet YAY

The wallet was $45.00 + tax so it came to like $50 all together I believe. Here is the link to the Guess accessories website. The wallet is shown on the website however it is a bit different on the inside than the one that I own. There are also a few nice ones that have been marked down:

(Just click on Handbags & Wallets)

Nexttttt upppppp.......
My fabulous rings:)

So here are all three side by side.. All 3 were purchases at Suzy Shier ( their jewellery is usually within a very reasonable price range)

This ring is a lovely light pink color, with gold like embellishment..and the gem in the middle is silver. The combination of colors are so nice and Summery. Ohh and the gems are scattered in a flower shaped pattern. This one was a new arrival so it was regular price (Which was not bad at all) all of them were $6.90..)

Ring # 2!
Gold, silver and purple hints of color all combined together. It's just so unique not exactly symmetrical but that's what makes it stand out:)

and lastly..

I know it may be hard to see, but this is soo cute!
It is two giraffes facing each other. Both have different color gems in them. I have never had something like this…to be honest a lot of my rings are different variations of flowers. This appealed to me so muchI just couldn’t leave it behind!

The next item I purchased was not for myself..I actually have a friends birthday coming up and I wanted to add one more thing to her gift. I now she loves wearing eyeliner so I thought it would be a nice  thing for her to try out.

These are Urban Decay glide on eyeliners which were purchased from Sephora. I kind of had a mishap with this I thought it was cheaper than it actually was but when I got the register I was kind of in shock. Not because it was overly expensive but because of the expectation I had ( how it was super cheap) So it came to $20 something dollars and it included e 2 colors ( Not full- Size) One Blue and one is a blue/purple color.

Then I received some candles as a gift
Thank you Lisaaaaaa!

I can never have enough! So excited to try these out, I am waiting to finish a couple of my big ones before starting some of the new ones I have. These are all scents that I have not tried before…bonus! So I got a Mango candle, wild strawberry, and one called Paradise

Then I purchased a primer from Shoppers Drug Mart

This is the Pur Minerals Color Correcting Primer. Recently in my January Luxe Box I received the neutral Primer which I liked. I tried it out and still have quite a lot left. After school on day I headed to the Shoppers in the local plaza and saw the Pur minerals display. I wanted to buy the full- size primer and so I just looking at all the different things they had. The one that I got is a peach color, meant to hide the appearance of dark circles, and drak spots. I have dark scars so I thought it would maybe help.

I like the feeling of this primer before putting this on I apply moisturizer and as soon as I put on the primer it just glides on. It sucks out ant excess oil and makes my face canvas smooth. It also helps my foundation go on effortlessly eliminating any lines. After foundation I top it off with the Marcelle Translucent powder and I am good to go. So far I am really liking it.

30$ for 30mL of product

And here are the last two products by the same brand “Quo”

First is the Quo contour brush that I wanted to get..I saw it and just got it. I tried it and it’s okay, to be honest I like my other set of brushes better than this..I bought it for 14$ on sale, it was $17 plus tax originally

And then last of all is this Quo brush cleaner. I have washed my brushes with shampoo up until now and I thought for some reason that it would be nice to buy the matching cleaner. Well let me tell you it’s nothing special in fact I think that shampoo actually cleanses the brushes better. The dirt gets out, the brushes are soft and they smell nice. This spray doesn’t lather..your supposed to spray directly to the bristles and then swirl it on your hand to get the dirt out. I did this but ended up cleaning my brushes again (with shampoo) and that’s when I visibly saw all the dirt and makeup come out.

And that's all for now!  I plan to change it up and include lots of stuff on this blog including: product reviews, hauls, book reviews and just a variety of stuff.

I hope you enjoyed, have a great weekend:)

BEST BOOK EVER!:)

Simone Elkeles never fails to leave her audience in awe..she is an amazing author and I loveeeeee the books she has written. My favorite books are a part of a trilogy called “Perfect Chemistry” (the first book), followed by her second novel called “Rules of Attraction and lastly “Chain Reaction”. I just finished the last and final novel and was in complete shock. I was sad that it was done but truly enjoyed the journey of reading all three books!

Each one of Elkeles' books are about a particular brother (Alex, Carlos & Louis) and the trials and tribulations they have to go through to protect their family honor. Each is so unique it it's own way and is super enjoyable...if your a sap for love stories with a twist then this is for you !!

It's hard for me to re -read books, but with this series I could do it over and over again. I never get sick of it..I believe I have read Perfect Chemistry like 3-4 times , and it never gets old for me :)

Check out her website to see a complete list of other series she has written, along with book trailers for all three of her novels!

                           http://simoneelkeles.net/

Quick Sneak Peek of the book: When Brittany Ellis walks into chemistry class on the first day of senior year, she has no clue that her carefully created “perfect” life is about to unravel before her eyes. She’s forced to be lab partners with Alex Fuentes, a gang member from the other side of town, and he is about to threaten everything she's worked so hard for—her flawless reputation, her relationship with her boyfriend, and the secret that her home life is anything but perfect. Alex is a bad boy and he knows it. So when he makes a bet with his friends to lure Brittany into his life, he thinks nothing of it. But soon Alex realizes Brittany is a real person with real problems, and suddenly the bet he made in arrogance turns into something much more. In a passionate story about looking beneath the surface, Simone Elkeles breaks through the stereotypes and barriers that threaten to keep Brittany and Alex apart.

Quick Sneak Peek of the book: When Carlos Fuentes returns to America after living in Mexico for a year, he doesn’t want any part of the life his older brother, Alex, has laid out for him at a high school in Colorado . Carlos likes living his life on the edge and wants to carve his own path—just like Alex did. Then he meets Kiara Westford. She doesn’t talk much and is completely intimidated by Carlos’ wild ways. As they get to know one another, Carlos assumes Kiara thinks she’s too good for him, and refuses to admit that she might be getting to him. But he soon realizes that being himself is exactly what Kiara needs right now

Quick Sneak Peek of the book: Luis Fuentes has always been sheltered from the gang violence that nearly destroyed his brothers’ lives. But that didn’t stop him from taking risks—whether he’s scaling a mountain in the Rockies or dreaming of a future as an astronaut, Luis can’t stop looking for the next thrill. Nikki Cruz lives her life by three rules—boys lie to get their way, don’t trust a boy who says “I love you,” and never date a boy from the south side of Fairfield. Her parents may be from Mexico, but as a doctor’s daughter, she has more in common with her north-side neighbors than the Latino Blood at her school. Then she meets Luis at Alex’s wedding, and suddenly, she’s tempted to break all her rules. Getting Nikki to take a chance on a southsider is Luis’s biggest challenge, until he finds himself targeted by Chuy Soto, the new head of the Latino Blood. When Chuy reveals a disturbing secret about Luis’s family, the youngest Fuentes finds himself questioning everything he’s ever believed to be true. Will his feelings for Nikki be enough to stop Luis from entering a dark and violent world and permanently living on the edge?

The Series is truly amazing, it takes many twists and turns but it is sooo worth it.  I highly recommend this to anyone who likes and enjoys chick flicks. It’s honestly so much more than that though, it’s about relationships, and the constant battle one has to face when trying to protect their love ones. I can’t even say which one I like more because they were all written so incredibly well.

Until Next time Take care,
Sabina

February Luxe Box Already!!

Greetings to everyone,
Today wasn’t such a good day, I have been feeling under the weather for about a day now and it does not feel good at all. As soon as I woke up this morning I checked my e-mail and was greeted by a ‘Loose Button’ e-mail claiming that by February beauty box had been shipped already. Excitedly I clicked on the tracking number provided, and found out that my Luxe Box had made it to my local postal facility!!  I kept on checking every little while but the same status appeared “out for delivery”. I opened up the Loose Button e-mail once more and saw that they had added a teeny note at the bottom saying:
“PS - Your Luxe Box may arrive before your tracking number gets updated! We hope you enjoy the surprise this month :)

I ran to the mail box..and what did I see my beautiful box waiting for me ( haha that rhymes lol…)  The box definitely felt heavier than my former boxes, so that made me even more excited. I was in the middle of doing some chores so I didn't open it fully I took a quick  sneak peek. I saw that I had received a polish on the card.. it was showing a bright red color. I loveeee nail polishes but I would have to say I'm extremely picky when it comes to the color..I feel as though dark colors don’t look good on my skin tone hence I kinda stay away from then.

But I was wronnnnggggg.... ( it wasn't red!) So here we go with this month's products. Let me know what you received, I would love to hear:)

So first off the biggest change was the color of the Luxe Box. The loose Button team crafted a beautiful Valentine’s day themed box for the month of February.

Luxe Box comes shipped in this brown card board box, postal details are on the sticker that seals the box.

Bright red box with the Loose Button Logo on the top..

This month was also another limited edition because both Loose Button and Flare magazine  teamed up to create this month’s Luxe Box
The products were wrapped with white wrapping paper that said “ Flare on it’ instead of the usual black paper..and it was all sealed with a personalized “ Made For” sticker
There were quite a few cards this month.. 5 in total!

This was the product card  I received, it listed the items I got and with brief description.

Below are a few more cards I received:)

The top card says “ Invite a friend” I have been invited to participate in a Mereadesso Giveaway.
( the bonus this month was the face & neck toning gel)… They go on to say that I can invite friends to try the product. Each referral gets me a chance to win $250 worth of Mereadesso products.  The second card is a $25 special offering for Dealuxe on the purchase of 75$ or more.

and here is the last greeting card on behave of both Loose Button and the editor & chief of Flare...

Onto the products shall we?!

Here is a quick snap shot of all the stuff I received scroll down to see individual pictures & details!

First product- China Glaze Nail Polish

The color of the polish I received is called “ go go pink”, it is a lovely light pastel pink.. almost reminds of cotton candy. It is a nice formula not to sheer or opaque, however you can definitely build the color by adding more coats.  The full size (what I received) is 14 mL and retails for 8$.  Just for reference China Glaze is bigger than Essie ( 13.5 mL) but smaller than O.P.I (15mL)

Second Product- Moroccan Oil

I have never tried Moroccan Oil products before but boy am I ever excited to try it out..everytime  I see it I just eye ball it haha, but the price scares me. Moroccan Oil is meant to transform and repair the strength of your hair. It includes fatty acids, Omego 3 oils and vitamins for shine.

The sample size I received includes 25 mL of product and for those who are interested the full size is 100mL and retails for $40.

This item came with a Luxe tip:  Apply a small amount to clean, towel dried hair from mid length to ends, blow dry or let dry naturally.

Third Product- Mereadesso Beautiful Body Balm

Sorry for the somewhat blurry pic..This is the beautiful bath bath. It is the nicest scent ever.. this is intended to bring out your inner glow, improve the skin’s texture, and enhance elasticity. It is said to absorb quickly and leave your body feeling silky and hydrated.

Luxe tip: After bathing, gently pat dry skin over immediately and apply balm to seal in moisture.

The sample size came with 30 mL while the Full size comes with 200 mL and is sold for $54 ( Wow this is a more expensive product but it works wonders, I really like it..my hands are so velvety soft without being greasy and oily.

Fourth product- Mereadesso Face and Toning Gel ( BONUS)

This product was not included on the product list but it came with it’s own little pamphlet thingy.. This is a face and toning gel it has 40 botanical extracts in it plussss minerals and anti- oxidants made for easy use.. it absorbs quickly and is said to make a big difference in 3-5 days.

I got a mini 7 mL sample, the card does not specify the price but on one side of the card it shows a picture of the full- size toner and I believe it has 50mL of this regiment in it.

Fifth Product- Redken Color Extend Shampoo & Conditioner
( got 3 packs)

and the last product is this Shampoo and Conditioner sample combo. This product is intended for color treated hair, so I am not sure if it's okay for me to use since my hair has never been colored. I will give it a try anyways whats the harm?!

Here is the description of the product: Fights 4 causes of color change: environmental aggressors, poor cuticle condition, color alternating minerals and water attack. Formulated to gently cleanse hair while leaving it feeling shiny, manageable and refreshed.

There is 10 mL of Shampoo and 10 mL of conditioner, so all together I received 30 mL worth of Shampoo and Conditioner because there were 3 packets.

Overall Opinion: Thank you Loose Button Team!! I am in loveeeee... I thought my January box was my fave. The boxes continue to get better and better! I love the creativity of this company,  each month they add special treats for their subbies and I am very thankful. This month's box came with products I love and am dying to try. I loveeeee the Moroccan Oil,  nail polish,  body balm. and toning gel. The Redken samples were a nice added touch. The partnership with Flare this month was very nice as well!!! I am sooo pleaseeeeeeeddd, and cannot wait for yet another Luxe Box:)

xoxo,
Sabina

Last week my best friend had told me about her little adventure to Bath and Body Works, she told me about the brand new lines launched and I couldn’t resist..the next day after my classes were done for the day I headed over to my local mall. I told myself I wasn’t going to buy anything but I came out with a bag full of goodies. I have my own little mini store I of all people do not need to stock up on any more things, but I went for it anyways..opps!

-      Soaps
-      Candles ( Mini’s & 4. Oz)
-      Sanitizers
-      Body washes
-      Creams ( travel size & Full Sixe)
…..and other stuff
My most recent visit to Bath and Bath and body works was a candle haul! It was so hard for me to decide which ones I wanted, I was going crazy!! The deal that was going on went I went (and is still going on presently where I live) was 3 mini candles for 5$, and medium sized ( 4oz.) were buy one, get one free.

This is what I got....

I purchased 6 mini’s ( 3 for 5$) but I gave 2 of the candles to my mom… and as I was cashing out I saw one of their old candles on sale so I picked up that as well. The old candle was the Marshmallow fireside ( 2 for 1$) so I picked up two..I kept one and gave the other to my mom as well.

Also in this picture was the two bigger sized candles..
Here are the names of the candles ( which sound sooo nice!)

- Peach Belini ( which my best friend recommended)

(**From Left to Right**)

-Market Peach (Smells absolutely delicious unfortunately they are only available in the mini size until March, the Everyday Market line launches then..can’t waitJ

-      Passion Flower ( The perfect combination of a funky floral, it is not too overpowering.. smells fresh and feminine

-White Palm ( This one reminds me of the beach..I loveeee it)

-      Tikki Beach ( perfect blend of a coconuts, both white palm and this one are more tropical)

This is the marshmellow one..soo yummy!

The Two other mini candles I didn’t show
( because there somewhere in my mom’s room) were:
-      Paradise
-      Coco Lobo

  January 2012 LuxeBox

Hi Everyone!

I realize this is very delayed but I decided that I wanted to create a blog recently in order to share what I received in my boxes. I love looking at other blogs that have been posted and seeing the variety of products that were sent out for a particular month. The January box was my second one since subscribing my first box being in December. Since they did alter there shipping policy for December, it took a little longer for members to receive their Luxe boxes.. but I would have to say it was well worth the wait!!

I am super excited that February's Luxe Box is being shipped out sometime this week (Shipment week February 13th)

So without anymore delay here is what I got in the January box.
I won't bother going into two much detail with this blog entry just because it is really late, but I thought it would be really fun to make. Can't wait to create my February blog:)
